Many things have been said about John Lennon. Some say he was a fraud, some say he was a saint. Have your own opinion.
Me I think he was just a guy trying to live life and understand things going on in the world. Like many other guys…
This song as well as the famous “Imagine” epitomize Lennon’s vision. I posted it because I think it’s still so relevant.
(I still don’t understand what’s so funny about peace, love and understanding).
Lyrics:
Two, one, two, three, four
Ev’rybody’s talking about
Bagism, Shagism, Dragism, Madism,
Ragism, Tagism

There are days where I too really wonder what’s so funny about peace, love and understanding.
Many people tell me that I’m an idealist but I’m still waiting for someone to show me that anything positive can be built on war, hate and disrespect.
Here is a classic song written by Nick Lowe and interepreted by Elvis Costello and the Attractions.
Lyrics:
As I walk through
This wicked world
Searchin’ for light in the darkness of insanity.
I ask myself
Is all hope lost?
Is there only pain and hatred, and misery?
And each time I feel like this inside,
There’s one thing I wanna know:
What’s so funny ’bout peace love & understanding? Ohhhh
What’s so funny ’bout peace love & understanding?
And as I walked on
Through troubled times
My spirit gets so downhearted sometimes
So where are the strong
And who are the trusted?
And where is the harmony?
Sweet harmony.
‘Cause each time I feel it slippin’ away, just makes me wanna cry.
What’s so funny ’bout peace love & understanding? Ohhhh
What’s so funny ’bout peace love & understanding?
So where are the strong?
And who are the trusted?
And where is the harmony?
Sweet harmony.
‘Cause each time I feel it slippin’ away, just makes me wanna cry.
What’s so funny ’bout peace love & understanding? Ohhhh
What’s so funny ’bout peace love & understanding? Ohhhh
What’s so funny ’bout peace love & understanding?
